Future Homemakers of America The FHA is designed to help the teenage girl interested in home economics to become more familiar with modern homemaking ideas and activities on a national and international scope. This year’s activities included the formal initiation, a watermelon feed, UNICEF Trick-or-Treat, Daddy Date Night, Children's Christmas Party, a slumber party. Sweetheart Dance, FHA Week, Section 14 Rally, Officers’ training meeting, and Mother-Daughter Banquet. The Future Teachers of America is a national organization which was established by the National Education Association of the United States in 1937. The Future Teachers Club seeks to encourage young people to cultivate in themselves the qualities of personality and character which are the foundations of successful teaching, to acquaint young people with the inspiring story of the schools, and to provide young people with specific information about opportunities in the various fields of education. Although the Casey chapter is but a few years old, it strives to be a permanent asset to the school and community, and to better itself while doing so.
