✓ CASEY COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL Casey, Illinois 1951 Looking back over the pages of the last four years we recall many pleasant and amusing instances. Mr. Cortelyou has saved our lives many times, when we didn't have our lessons, by providing a movie at the propitious time. He has fought with us through the tournaments, struggled with class dances, juggled with our homecoming floats, and added two or three gray hairs with our prom and banquet. We shuddered at the looks he gave us in class and study halls, and obeyed when he told us not to run down the hall to the movie room, or take two steps at a time on the stairs. We know that in the years ahead other freshmen will come to like him as much as we do, and learn that under- 2 neath those sour looks that he is smiling too. 4 A h i n 11 ft4 tJA tiHifbiutty CHARLES GOBIN, PRESIDENT Oil and Gas Distributor EARL HENSICK, SECRETARY Assistant Bank Cashier DALLAS MILLER Farmer BOARD OF EDUCATION VV. Mary Ann Cox Jack Chesney, violently in love with Kitty Verdun, and Charles, equally in love with Amy, invite the young ladies to their rooms for luncheon in order to meet Charley’s wealthy aunt from Brazil. But the aunt sends word that she will have to defer her visit, for a few days. Jack and Charley won’t give up the opportunity of declaring their love, so what can be done? The problem is solved by forcing another Oxford student into lady’s clothing. Then as Charley’s aunt, he is introduced to the girls, to Jack’s father (who has been advised by Jack to marry her millions), and to Stephen Spettigue, Miss Spettigue’s guardian. The sweethearts hug and kiss Charley’s aunt; the two menmakelove to her. Then the real auntcomes in and assumes another name. In the comic confusion which results, young Lord Babberly, posing as the aunt, tricks Stephen Spettigue into agreeing to the marriage of his ward to Charley. The real aunt marries Jack’s father. Jack gets Miss Verdun, and Charley’s“Aunt” regains the fortune he lost at gambling and obtains the hand of the girl he loves. 58 FOOTBALL Varsity Team COACHES, LEFT TO RIGHT: Tedrick, Collom, Eldor.
