The purpose of the organization is to provide an opportun- ity for upperclass students of medicine to meet and consider topics of special medical interest. Each Spring the Hamann Society sponsors the annual Junior-Senior Banquet produced by the entire senior class. The evening is highlighted by an exchange of cheers by stu- dents and faculty poking fun at each other afterwhich the seniors present a series of skits depicting a studentis eye view of life at W.Il.Ll., School of Medicine.

R STUDE T COMMITTEE EDICAL EDUCATIO The Student Committee on Medical Education of the Class of 1961 worked on many matters pertaining to the education of students which were not covered in the regular curriculum. They conducted polls on various matters to determine class opinion on medi- cal education and also sponsored a lecture series on the various types of medical practice. A vote of thanks is due Drs. W. Sakami and B. Spock for their interest and guidance as advisors for the SCME. 'WTR' A. I I . .B I Y' SENIOR WIVES EDICAL STUDENTS? IVES, ASSOCIATIO The Medical Students' Wives, Association is an organization with the main purpose of providing fellowship for the wives of the medical students. Membership is open to all wives and female medical students. Reg- ular meetings are held each month during the school year. These meetings are geared to the interests of the wives and consist of lectures, tours, discussions, etc. The Christ- mas Party held at the school for the faculty, students, and families is a project of the club. Our many thanks to these gallant girls who have worked and helped us in many ways to lighten the load during our stay in medical school. OFFICERS
