During the offseason I compete in judo and Karate. I like competitive sports because they give me an outlet for my aggressive feelings and I like to test myself against others, Q--.www I , 'fb . - .wi C' ADA ELLEMAN I participate in swimming because I like the feeling of being on a team. It was fun and I got to meet many new people. Participating on a team made me feel like I have accomplished something. I was also able to expand myself socially. WHY DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN A SPORTS PROGRAM? I S bt. IEFF WENZEL I participate in football, track, and intramural basketball. The main reason I play for these teams is because I like to. Of course, contributing to the team's goals and being dedicated to the team is also very important but I wouIdn't play if it wasn't fun. Sports are a great way to end a long day at school, and Case wouIdn't be the same without them. BILL MOLBECK I participate in football and basketball. When you're in a sport, especially a team sport, you get to work with other people. When you reach a goal you set for yourself, it gives you a great feeling of accomplishment. Senior Spotlight KEN IERSTAD I work at the Chancery Pub and Restaurant, I've worked here for two years and I like it a lot. l'm in DECA club and I get 3 credits for the job and class. It's also nice because I've met some nice people and learned a lot of responsibility. X SUE IOHNSON I am a Dietary Aide at the Lincoln Village Convalescent Cen- ter. My job gives me good experience with people, especially the elderly. Knowing that I've added a smile to someone's day makes it all worthwhile. WHY DO YOU ENIOY HAVING A IOB WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL? - ' - 'ii KURT DALZIEL I work at Hardee's. Right now I really don't enjoy work- ing although I enjoy the financial benefits of working. l'll probably enjoy working in the future when I get into my career and l'm doing what I really want to do. ,L R-af -'.. ' '- If. to t E15 I ,,....--- viii? I I EUGENE MODESTI I work at Paradise West Bowling Alley. My main goal in having a job is so I can get some income to live on and have a good time. I like my job because the time goes by so fast and it doesn't drag along like other boring jobs. Senior Spotlight 2 i KIRT SCHMIDT I feel that if I were drafted I would go to fight and stand up for America! We Americans today are getting lazy and fat and need to stand up for what we believe. I feel sorry for America if we keep going on as vve are. feel .x eww, i RAMQNA Sl-IELLEY I feel the Draft is good for the guys but not for the girls. The guys should he the ones that have to register. The girls should he able to serve on a volunteer basis so that they can join if they want to but don't have to. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PRESIDENT CARTER'S PLAN TO REINSTATE THE DRAFT? ,awww IOE KNOCH I feel that the draft should be reinstated. Women should also be included because that is a part of equal rights. If they don't want to be drafted then the ERA should be abol- ished because it wouIdn't be fair to all the men in this Country. If and when the draft is reinstated I'lI join, but otherwise I won't. ' x SIG s 'F- MARY DENOTO I know there are a lot of different feelings about reinstating the draft. l think the feeling of being made to enlist is turning a lot of people against the idea. However, I feel it is a step in the right direction. The US has always been one of the superior nations, and I think we might have to work to stay there. It wouIdn't be a bad idea to be ready for the time to have to prove it. Senior Spotlight CAROL BRANDL It all started with our dependence on foreign oil. We need their oil so bad that they can take advantage of us and we're helpless. I feel this is a good example of how America has weakened. Q R KYLE EDWARDS l think the Iranian situation has gone on too long with- out decisive US action. I think vve should have done some- thing immediately following the takeover of our embassy in Iran. As power-plays seem to follow power-plays, now Russia is in Afghanistan. Well, there goes the neighbor- hood. --..-..,.., WHAT ARE YOUR FEELINCS ABOUT THE IRANIAN SITUATION? ERIC SIMONSEN The Iranians are acting like irrational people. I don't think we should bomb them, but we should do something that will be effective. I get really mad at what they do and say. It really makes America look good to me. I'm glad I live here. IIM BAAS I think that the situation proves that the US is not invulnerable to abuse by even small foreign countries and that the US should reconsider its for- eign policy. The situation has done some good, however, in giving us a greater sense of national unity and patriotism. Senior Spotlight 3 'Nw 'T N,.. KIRSTEN REEVES Ten years from novv I hope to have a degree in some aspect of the biological sciences and I hope to be working in the field of my choice. W, ROBYN ALLEN In ten years from now I will have achieved my masters in Bio- chemistry and will be living in Vancouver, Canada, working at the Cancer Research Center. Besides my vvork, I will raise horses and show them in the hunterfjumper divison. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL BE DOING TEN YEARS FROM NOW? x Y in 2 LIZ HUNT Probably ten years from now I will be working in my own company or partnership. I rather doubt if l'll be mar- ried. I don't plan on getting married until I graduate from college and establish a Career. DIANE RANK Ten years from now I will be happily married, have some kids and be a housewife.
