Biology Field Trip Early in October, the biology classes took their annual field trip to the Kettle Moraine. Students were able to go on a nature trail, see the aging of Ottovva Lake, visit the pine plantation, and drink from a spring. Cindy Wald also got a chance to fish Mr. Forgy's thermos cup from the bottom ,ot the pond. Even Mr. Pirk had had enough ot nature by the end ofthe day.

The Effects Of Gamma Rays 011 Man-In-The- Moon Marigolds This year's first dramatic production was a sensitive portrayal of some of the prob- lems faced by a mother and her two daughters as they confront lite without a husband and father. One of the daugh- ters, Tillie, is very interested ln a science experiment dealing with marigoldsg but her mother, Beatrice, places little impor- tance on such things. The situation is tur- ther complicated by a frivolous daughter, Ruth, and an aging woman, Nanny, who is supposedly under their care. The part of Tillie was played by Kathy Dudley, Beatrice was played by Stephanie Click- ner, Ruth was played by Sue Factor, and Nanny was played by Leslie Outland. The play was directed by Mrs. Orth. 34
