Joseph Case High School ALMA MATER Tune—CORNELL ALMA MATER Our strong bond can ne’er be broken Formed in dear Case High Far surpassing wealth unspoken Sealed by friendship’s tie. Mem’ry’s leaflets close shall twine Around our hearts for aye, And waft us back o’er life’s broad track To pleasures of past day. Words—CLASS OF 1947 High school life at best is passing Gliding swiftly by; Then let us pledge in word and deed Our love for dear Case High. CHORUS Alma Mater—Alma Mater Deep graven on each heart, Ode victorious we go singing As from these halls we depart. 2 edccdUott COACH JAMES F. CASSIDY To Coach Cassidy: Our years at Case have been enriched by your teaching us true sportsmanship. You have shown us that the importance is not whether we win or lose, but how well we play and how important our attitude is regarding the outcome. Throughout our lives, we will carry your message, to help us to be better individuals, and better citizens. In recognition of your unceasing efforts in our behalf, we, the Class of 1960, dedicate our yearbook to you. 5 O ' O ' h- 0 V . ■h ' §• h- 6 -r. : Ov Oa ' ' S- O ' V ' ' A, ' ) S 1 On,o. This honor is bestowed each year upon the outstanding senior girl who possesses the qualities of leadership, service, patriotism, and dependability. Del, an honor student, active in many extracurricular activities has rendered many services to the class of ’60 and to Case High School. Luck, success, and happiness, from the class of 1960 to you, Del, in all your future endeavors! PETER GENERAUX Each year the Harvard Book is presented to an outstanding junior boy. This year, Peter Generaux has been selected by the faculty of Case High School to receive this award offered by tbe Harvard Club of Fall River. Peter’s fine character and distinct leadership qualities make him very worthy of this honor. The faculty and students of Case High School congratulate you on the achievement and wish you, Peter, happiness and success in the future. rcfgiia- J 92 n) 1 u t 97 “DAISY CHAIN 1959” “Shall we drive?” “Starving Natives” In September, 1954, we entered the Joseph Case High School as timorous seventh graders. A whole new world surrounded and confused us, but gradually we became accustomed to the many new and exciting activities of Junior High. September, 1956, saw our entrance into the realm of the high school. We were now Freshmen, with class officers of our own. Advised by Mr. Napolean Dufault, we were headed by President Dolores Comeau; Vice-President Elaine Donovan; Secretary Elaine Provazza; and Treasurer Penny Smith. The Latin Club contest was won by Edward Scullen and Bonnie Rosenthal, who reigned as King and Queen of the “Snow Ball.” An enthusiastic candy sale contest was won by Pauline Morrisette and Myles Dewey, who were crowned “Mr. and Miss Freshman Class.” The year was pleasantly ended with the Freshman Prom, “Moonlight and Roses,” and Class Day. In our sophomore year we made the transition to the high school building, where we were advised by Mrs. Alice Gallon. Class officers were President James Johnson; Vice-President Thomas Walker; Secretary Jo-Anne O’Brien; and Treasurer Elaine Donovan. The year was marked by the sale of Christmas cards and the emergence of many students into the high school sports scene. Our junior year brought with it many happy moments and our long awaited class rings. Class officers were President Wolly Morin; Vice-President Gerry Palmisciano, Secretary Jo-Anne O’Brien; and Treasurer Melanie Pelletier. Our class advisor was Mr. Paul Monahan. The outstanding event which will long live in our memories was the Junior-Senior Prom, “Song of the Sea.” Co-chairman Del Comeau and Joe Quinlan and their committee transformed the gymnasium into a wonderland of beauty and enchantment. Climaxing our high school days has been our wonderful senior year. Capably advised by Miss Rita Sullivan, our senior class is headed by President Joseph Quinlan; Vice-President Gerry Palmisciano; Secretary Jerry Galego; and Treasurer Barry Cullen. Student Council officers are seniors Jim Johnson, President; Elaine Donovan, Vice-President; Carol Mosher, Secretary; and Sue Danielson, Treasurer. Highlights of the year have been our courageous sports teams and the Talent and Fashion shows. Events to come include Class Day, the Senior Banquet, the Prom, and that magical moment of Graduation, when we culminate our years of high school learning, ready to face the future with both joy and apprehension.
