Butler Among State's Top 6 Advisers Attendance secretary Pat Younger left CHUS after I4V2 years as a dis- trict employee. She began in 1971 as an aide in the junior high; then, she worked in tne district office. She was a pleasant contact for par- ents, students and staff. In early February, the school board honored the following personnel for outstanding work; Debbie Faber, Ray Weaver, Kathy Butler, Lynda Me Carthy, Anne Hermann, Laurie Sequeira. A student council committee recog- nized four teachers as outstanding staff members for the first semes- ter: Scott Whitwer, Kathy Butler, Carol Hoffos and Debbie Faber. Mr. Leonard Federico, superinten- dent of schools, was chosen to the Oregon School Activities Associ- ation (OSAA) executive borad. OSAA sets rules for all high school sports. The Oregon Athletic Director's As- sociation named George Milionis as state high school athletic direc- tor of the year. Mr. Milionis has been athletic director (AD) at Cas- cade for 17 years and was assigned to the Class AA golf tournament five years ago. Mr. Milionis is currently president of Inter-League Council, represent- ing the Willamette Valley Officials Association. As an AD, Mr. Milionis has several different responsibilities: schedul- ing games for sports, hiring offi- cials for home contests, arranging bus transportation, buying athletic equipment and overseeing coaches. He has coached both JV boys' bas- ketball and varsity track at CUHS. Student council recognized three teachers as outstanding faculty for the second semester: Mrs. Trish Hanna, Mr. James Wisely and Mr. Pat Godfrey. At the student council spring conference, Mrs. Kathy But- ler was honored as one of the top six advisers in Oregon.
