Sophomores Talk About Adjustments SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS: Duane Darcie Kidder, treasurer; Danielle Benz, ac- Bales, president; Kynda Cavilee, secretary; tivities coordinator. The sophomore students were asked what the most difficult adjustment they had in the transition between junior high and sen- senior high school: Terri Guild: The homework is a lot harder in the required classes and takes a lot more time. Darcie Kidder: There is a lot more responsi- bility when it comes to classes. You can't slack off in class, and you have to be there on time. Scott Bates: Coming into the high school was like starting the seventh grade over again. Marie Spear: The grading is a lot harder and you have to work a lot harder to achieve the goals you have set. Kim Davidson: It seems like the teachers are giving more homework and are harder to get along with. Bill Phillips: The classes in general are a lot harder. There's more homework, and some of the teachers grade on a harder scale. Mike Thomas: The halls in the high school are so crowded you can not move through them. Jeff Burnell: There are more electives to choose from and less required classes. LEFT: Shannon Helton takes a break during class. ABOVE: Jody Davis and Holly Waters dress up as Mickey Mouse on Cartoon Day during homecoming. SOPHOMORES 19
