This year's football season wasn't the best for the Cougars. They got off to a good start, but then didn't do so well. The team seemed to lack in confidence for themselves-they needed more go power! One member of the team commented. It wasn't our best year, but Cascade will have better ones to come. 10

First Row: J. Sidwell- Princess, D„ Taylor-Queen, C. Neal-Princess. Second Row: J. Versteeg, M. Brethauer, J. Warren, C. Ragsdale, A. Toboyko, D. Sunderland, D. Huddleston. The crowning of Queen Delilah Taylor on Thursday, October 24, started off the 1968 Homecoming events. Later that day, a serpentine was held to help build up team spirit. After returning from the serpentine, a huge bonfire was started by Queen Delilah, with the help of some Varsity C boys. The people cheered as the Trojan dummy burned. As the players ran onto the field, balloons were broken and turned loose, in accordance with the Homecoming theme of Up, Up and Away! During half-time. Queen Delilah and princesses Janice and Caroll, rode a float beautifully decorated by Cascade students. Riding in convertibles were the remaining seven Top Ten Homecoming girls. The 1968 Homecoming game ended with the Cascade Cougars mauling the J.F.K. Trojans with the score of 45 to 6. A Homecoming dance was held Saturday night in the Senior High School balcony which ended the festive Homecoming activities. 12
