The Varsity cheerleaders, reflecting the enjoyment of all, pause beside the roaring bonfire. HOMECOMING OPEN YEAR The Royal Court presiding over the dance. Princess Mary Korkow, Queen Rose Ann Henrikson, and Prin- cess Judy Michaelson. Homecoming, 1962, was an event that will stand out in the memories of all. Long hours were spent during the entire week making posters, preparing and distributing mums, organizing the bonfire and making sure everything was set for the big day. Amidst screams, laughs, and cheers, the bonfire and Pep Rally began. The serpentine, school song, and many yells raised the hopes for victory to new heights. As the students cheered loudly and vigorously, our Cougar team led us on to victory over our Logger opponents with a score of 18 to 6. The climax of the Homecoming game reached its peak as the coronation of the queen took place at halftime. Who cracked the funny!--Howard?? The vastness of the fire warms this group of students.
