4 PRGPHECY I W .AIK ln. It was one of those warm lazy days in June at the local beach in Cascade locks Kwhich had grown to quite a large cityj where everyone spends all their spare time lyu ing on the warm white sand watching the waves roll in. It was one of these same days that I was there lying on the beach thinking of the wonderful times I used to have in Cascade Locks High School, and wondering what had become of all my classmates. I open- ed my eyes a moment and I saw walking by me a tall shapely blonde, and at once I knewit was Lillian Correll. She seemed to recognize me for she came over to talk with me. I knew what her fate had been, for she had three blonde girls following behind her. She told me she had to nnsh off, because she was to meet her husband and their five boys to go swimming. We had planned on a dinner at my home---- ---- to talk over old times, Just after Lillian had gone, who should come by but Ronald Keyserlthe brainl. I called to him but he didn't know me, because he turned and started to walk away. I called him again by name and he came over toward meg I knew he was rather surprised to see me there. He told me he was a professor of mathematics at a large university in the East, and was here visiting some friends. I told him about meeting Lillian and of our dinner plansg he agreed to come when I mentioned some of the food we would have. Then he left with the excuse that he was to meet his friends. I decided to get up and walk around the beach for awhile hoping that I might find someone else I knew, No sooner than the thought entered my mind, I saw Ocala long standing by the hot dog stand. She told me she was working in an office as a secretary, I told her of the dinner, and she seemed very anxious to come---then we said good-bye and I continued on my way, I was about to leave for ny art studio, which I had recently bought, and which was coming along very successfully, when who should appear but one of my old girl friends- ---Nancy Minkoff, She had a number of teen-agers with herg I knew they couldn't all be her children, but after we had stopped to talk she told me they were some of her high school students. She had become a well known school teacher, and was teaching English and physical education at one of the large high schools in Cascade Locks. She couldn't have been teaching school but a few years because she still seemed to be sane. She agreed to come to dinner the next night at my house. Farther down the beach I saw a tall muscular man walking by himself. My heart started pounding and my eyes were bugged out. He turned around and I saw it was only my old pal Donald Haight fthe jokerl. I remembered reading about his tractor company and the millions of dollars he had made. I went over to congratulate him and also to ask him to dinner---he agreed to come. It was getting late and I decided I had better head for home. As I started to get in my car, I saw a familiar looking red-hatred woman--it was Ellen Seymour. I paused to talk to her, but she was in a hurry to get to a patient's home. I could tell by her uniform she was a nurse. She accepted the invitation to dinner, and then hurried away, As I was driving home that night I thought of the fun we would have and of'my luck in meeting all my class mates, also about how lucky they were in meeting me, SENIOR CLASS NEWS Officers of the senior class are: Ronald Keyser, presidentg Donald Haight, vice presidentg Ellen Seymour, secretaryg and Nancy Minkoff, treasurer. The seniors were well represented in all school activities and sports. They made money for the skip-day by selling candy and pop at games and then by a comi- cal show given in the afternoon to the students. The seniors enjoyed the year and we hope the senior class of next year enjoys it as much as we did, Class Co1ore-------------------Turquoise and Silver Class Flower -------- - ---- -----------Rhododendron
