Ryan wins big at Science Fair. middle: Wendy takes 3rd in Keep Montana Green Contest. February: Ryan Kyler Ryan is an honor roll student and has been very active in science. He is involved in basketball, Jazz band, and FFA. He is also active in his church and Civil Air Patrol. March: Matt O’Hara Matt is an honor roll student and also works part-time at Big Bear. He is a member of the Ulm Fire Department and the Boy Scouts. He is also training in narcotics and photography with the Sheriff’s Department. April: Scott McKay Scott is an honor roll student and active in football, basketball, FFA, and 4-H. He was selected by the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) as one of six local winners of the Outstanding Citizenship Award. May: Jessie Strobbe Jessie is an honor roll student and active in 4- H, FFA, Business Professionals of America, and church. She has won numerous awards, including 4th place public speaker in the National Society of Range Management Contest. Student of the Month For the first year, begin- ning in February, it was de- cided to honor one student each month for their achievements in school and their contributions to the community. Each student had to be nominated by a teacher during the second week of the preceding month. At the last teachers’ meeting of the month the student was selected. Student Life 27
