G.C. 85 THE LIFE TIMES OF THE CLASS OF ’78 The class of 1978 started out the freshmen year 46 strong. Although a lot of hard work £ effort went into the homecoming float, under the direction of President Mark Hanson and advisor, Mr. Fried, it received last place. Freshmen initiation was a day almost worth remembering. Many participated in sports, speech £ Drama, and the junior play, ' 'Annie Get Your Gun. M A grand total of 49 walked the halls as sophomores the following year. Determined not to lose the float competition that year, the boys built the winning Homecoming float. The soph's showed their spunk £ spirit by winning the spirit stick more than once and having the best booth at the carnival. The year ended for the soph's with the sophomore social. It seems a good time was had by all. As juniors, the class of 1978 had a rough year ahead of them. They proved to themselves £ to everyone else that they could come out on top. Their accomplishments included building the winning float, struggling through a money making speech and Drama dinner, winning 1st place in the volleyball tournaments, grabbing 1st place in the poster contest, a jr. class play; a hit in Cascade £ Great Falls, and a memorable prom. The junior class made it through the busy year £ looked forward to their last v0cLn at 0 • H 3 • The big, best, £ final year arrived unbelievably fast. Initiation of the ' 'dumb'' freshmen was an enjoyable event for the seniors. The year w'ent by a little too slow but graduation sprung upon us a little too fast. Under the leadership of Pres. Sue Mahoney, £ V.P. Dan Wojtala plans were made for the sn$ak trip £ graduation. After a lot of discussion, the seniors (or the majority of them) spent theij; sneak trip at Fairmont Hot Springs. A really good time was had by all, swimming, playing frisbee, golf, tennis, £ monopoly. Let's not forget the bus drive with entertainment provided by Carl Crawford £ Jim Myers. Graduation was the big event of the year though, with Charlie Stone as guest speaker, Dennice Grigg, Valedictorian, and Sue Mahoney; Salutatorian. The class of 78 experienced alot of growing pains, gains, £ losses throughout their years at C.H.S. The graduation motto best describes what high hopes £ determination the class has for their future: IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO US. 86 ’78 PROPHECY Dawn Anderson was a multi-millionare dollar lawyer, but invested all her money in stocks and went broke. Oh, well Dawn ... that's life. Brent Bauch was absent. Valerie Berg was caught serving minors at the Village Inn, and is now serving sentences at the local penatentury. Carl Crawford is now the proud father of four baby cobras, congratulations Otis! Guy Cummings is running from the Mexican Border Patrol. Gwen Cummings is now the world famous Keno Lady at Ceaser's Palace in Las Vegas. Laurie Cummings is the new rock star queen, her new single ' 'Cascade is Great'' made the top ten in comedy charts. Jeff Duncan is now an artist for Hugh Hefner and seems to enjoy his work. Terri Dyson is now a defendent for marriage cases and has had 7 divorce cases, involving 15 affairs, her clients have never been married. Lynn Gordon is now the wealthy land owner of Montana. Cheryl Gover has had 7 divorces, 15, affairs, and never been married. Dennice Grigg is the top professor at Central High in Great Falls. Julie Harris is married and has 6 kids and a lot of headaches. Charla Hawn is too fast. Blanche Ingold is now a master pianist for Lawrence Welk. Everything is wunerful. Michael Johnson is still here, but he's not. Darryl Juden has pursued his life time career of cutting people down, his last cut was a tightrope walker. Roche Juneau now owns his own insurance company since nobody else will insure him. Kent Larson is now the head football coach at Idaho State, and has a record of 0-47 ... that's a lot of wives Kent. Lavonne Lemieux if flying high ... she's an airline stewardess of course ! Larry Lord owns what Lynn Gordon doesn't. Brian Losness still has that face that girls really go for ... Gopher face we used to call him. Randy Luraas now heads his own sunblock company. Forest MacDonald finally got out of the army. Barry MacGillvray owns his own Truck company. Sue Mahoney is the president of the I.B. T.C. Terry Mallory is married and spends his time watching T.V. (right Pete?) Duane Mellinger shaved. Donna Milner and Kathy Cornelius let success go to their heads and now own the Q-Tip swab company Jim Myers is pursueing his career of being dropped, he formerly was a tightrope walker. Ron Myers is head of the consumer division at Anheiser Busch. Brian Neisen has saved his pennies and bought a new pair of clothes. Janette Nilsen is sick in the hospital with botchelism from mayonnaise. Jeff Olson beat Mark Hanson in 2 out of 3 drag races, • . . no Mark beat Jeff in 2 out of 3 races. . . nojeffbea. .... Lance Patton has reached his expiration date at school. Bill Pettit is the new head X-country coach at CHS, taking over the ancient Mr. Fried. Ray Posel is still hunting for game, but she's too fast. Carla Rasmussen is happily married to Jim Van who? Sherry Styren is President Carters new secretary and is reportedly working for peanuts. Dan Sudenga is among the 95% who graduated from Bell G Howell school, too bad he's in the 5% unemployed. Joe Voss lives in his home town of Anoika, where he deals in suntan lotion. Pam Wendeln is busy trying to keep her kids Denny and Lenny in school. Dan Wojtala wears sloppy clothes, oily hair, and never brushes his teeth and Richard Nixon was re-elected. Kathy Young now remises of her homecoming queen days, she was chosen Miss America. Kathy says she owes it all to her mirror. Anyone not mentioned in the above prophecy was gone fishing. 88 Nicknames, Ambitions, Favorite Sayings Summary Of Participation Dawn M. Anderson. Anny Ambition: Lawyer That's Life -V.
