We, the editors of the '71' Ketochi proudly present to you this year of memories. We hope the 71 Ketochi will be a yearbook that you will long treasure as a part of your years spent at Cascade High School. The past year has been an eventful year for the students of Cascade High School. Even though many of the activities in which we took part were firsts for us in our personal lives, they were lasts in our role as high school students. After graduation, steadies will be broken up, sports honors will lose their glamour, personally treasured class jokes will lose their humor, and the close friendships that were built in the past four years will slowly be- gin to drift apart. Although to some of you the '71' Ketochi may only be paper, pictures, and print; we wish that in the future it may mean much more. We hope that in the years to come we may use the '71 Ketochi to help recall all of the fond memories which were made within these walls, and the '71' Ketochi will help us to realize that the four years we spent on the hill were four of the best years of our lives. 2 Lynda Lord and Della Wojtala The 1971 Ketochi Co-Editors

YOU’RE MY GUEST IN THOUGHT Once a day, and sometimes more, You knock upon my daydream door, And I say warmly, Come right in, I'm glad you're here with me again! Then we sit down and have a chat, Recalling this, discussing that, Until some task that I must do Forces me away from you— Reluctantly I say good-bye, Smiling with a little sigh, For though my dreams bring you near I wish that you were really here— But what reality can't change My dreams and wishes can arrange-- And through my wishing you'll be brought To me each day, a guest in thought. M. Hughes James Pollack We, the class of '71' dedicate this yearbook to James Pollack. Jim, a friend of all, is fondly remembered for his kind and friendly ways. In memory he will be with us always. 4
