The 50th Graduating Class Of Cascade High School KETOCHI DEDICA TION We, the Class of 1968, dedicate this annual to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Halverson. During the twelve years that Mr. Halverson was Cascade’s athletic director and mathematics instructor, both he and Mrs. Halverson were a great help to us. Mrs. Halverson was always willing to drive a car load of boys to and from ath- letic events. Before there was a washing machine at the school she washed the players uniforms herself or took them to a laundermat. She also pitched in and made lunches for the boys after a track meet. Even though Mr. Halverson was always busy planning the athletic events and mak- ing sure everything ran smoothly, he still had time to talk to any of the students who were having problems with their math. We would like to say thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Halverson for all they have done for us. We appreciate all of their efforts and wish them the best of luck in Great Falls. 2 ACTIVITIES HOMECOMING Hey, that's my brother driving ! King Wes Teterud and Queen Sue Burns. The Senior Creation. The officers this year were: President-Wes Teterud, Vice-President-Steve Parsons, Secretary-Debbie Pollack, Treasurer-Kathy McKamey, and Reporter-Brenda Wojtala. The Student Council had a very busy year. Homecoming was the first activity. The classes of 62, ’57, 40, ’39, ’38, ’37 and '36 were the honored classes this year. It was decided to have a new float in the parade. The mighty Badgers football team were honored on the new float. This was such a success that it will be continued next year. Santa Claus was the new addition to the Christmas Skits which are organized by the Student Council. Santa helped the Student Council members hand out the gifts. He was a complete surprise to most of the students and also very successful. The Student Council was also in charge of the elections of the new officers. This was a success and the officers were installed at Class night. The presidents of the different organizations are usually the representatives in Student Council. Mr. Prestbo is the advisor. 12 NA TIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Back row: R. Gray, W. Teterud, S. Belisle, D. Winterrowd, L. Kirk. Advisor: Mr. Forman Front row: S. Pettapiece, K. McKamey, H. Cordeiro, J. Projects that came from our hearts were the boxing of cookies for the older people of Cascade and the box we made for a soldier in Viet Nam. Our very special thanks go out to our adviser, Mrs. Hetherton and all of our Chapter Mothers because FHA wouldn’t be what it is without them. 17 BA DGER PA WS Back row: Advisor: Mr. Silvius, R. Miller, Ken Thompson, Roger Wright, Ray Cordeiro, Rick Fenton, MANAGER Bob J. Miller. 7 9 Coach Don Rose’s charges of 1967-68 came up with a 3-4 conference record and a 4-4 overall record and fifth place in the conference. This was an impressive record, as there were only three seniors on the squad. Starting the season out with an impressive 62-18 win over nonconference Geraldine the Badgers then beat a strong Power team by a score of 7-0. The Badgers then hit a streak of bad luck as they fell victim to the Simms Tigers by a score of 40-7 in their annual homecoming tilt and losing to Brady and Belt by scores of 44-19 and 32-26, respectively. The Badgers then took their next two outings from Centerville and Augusta by scores of 42-20 and 43-7. They ended their season with a 40-27 loss at the hands of the Dutton Cardinals . The Badger lettermen included: seniors: Wes Teterud, Steve Belisle and Ken Mesaros; juniors: Jim Cornelius, Duane Wojtala, Steve Parsons, Pat Wiley, Dennis Belisle, Tracy Marquis, Brent Sanders; and sophomores: Ray and Chris Cordeiro, Larry Buckingham, BobC. Miller, Rick Fenton, and Tim Latham. Wes Teterud and Steve Belisle were selected as co-captains for the year. 21 SENIOR LETTER MEN Coach Mr. Rose, Ken Mesaros, Wesley Teterud, Steve Be lisle Wesley Teterud 22 BASKETBALL Wesley Teterud Tracy Marquis Duane Wojtala Steve Belisle LETTER MEN Jim Cornelius 23 Dennis Belisle Steve Parsons 24 Duane Wojtala, Lennard Sallee, Tracy Marquis, Steve Parsons, Jim Wesley Teterud, Steve Belisle, Chris Cordeiro. G-R-R-R-EA T! GET ’EM! With only two seniors on the squad, Coach Don Rose's Badgers came up with a 6-win, 13-loss record. This record, however, is no indication of the true strength of the Badgers. They lost a total of seven games by a point margin of five points or less! The Badger spirit was exemplified many times during the season. After a heartbreaking defeat the Badgers would always come right back the next night and fight with every ounce of strength they could muster. This is the true mark of champions and to everyone in the school the mighty Badgers of 1967-1968 were champions in every sense of the word. The Badger lettermen included seniors: Wes Teterud and Steve Belisle, juniors: Jim Cornelius, Duane Wojtala, Tracy Marquis and Steve Parsons, and sophomores: Ray and Chris Corderio. Jim Cornelius was named captain of the Badgers.
