CLASS PROPHECY The year is 1977. Time has sped rapidly by since we left Cascade High after graduation in 1967 and already it is time for our reunion. Since the earth is so over- populated, we have decided to take a trip through outer space in a satellite owned by Terry Reeve. While we orbit through the Milky Way, each of us relates what he has accomplished since graduation. Judy Benner and Hilda Ferguson are the renowned proprietors of the Benferg- Hildy where only the finest cuisine is served. Mark Sanders, who started out in the Coast Guard, is now Admiral of the world's largest ocean-going vessel. His old buddy, Bob Marquis, is the star quarterback on the NFL Championship team. Joyce Winstead, who worked at the telephone company one summer, is now mar- ried to the billionaire, Mr. Bell. Jerry LeVeque recently won the Indianapolis 500 and the Grand Prix in a roadster that he designed. Leslie Moore is secretary to the Governor of Montana. Roger Baker was always quite a politician and he makes an even better governor. David Lemons now owns the largest cattle ranch in all Montana. He often requires the services of Terry Salo who took his doctorate in veterinary medicine at Yale. Because of his great sleuthing ability, Mike Smith has been commissioned as the Head Inspector of Scotland Yard. Judy Hetherton is still trudging the streets of New York as a social worker. It's not for money because she married a wealthy stockbroker. Sue Cox is currently appearing at the Copa Cabana where she is really the rage. She received a golden record for selling a million of her hit tune. Karen McKamey plays with the New York Philharmonic as feature flute and piccolo soloist. She is about to take a world tour with the orchestra. Virginia Lord was secretary to the Ambassador to Rome until she married a dashing Italian screen star. Julie Shumate is teaching English and French in the Swiss Alps, but she spends her leisure time writing best-selling novels at her chateau. Ed Hickel and Bob Keyes are co-owners of the largest firm of commercial artists in the U.S. They design many of the commercials used by a baby food company which is owned by Carol Murphy (Mrs. Keyes) and Penny Hastings (Mrs. Obrecht). At Saks Fifth Avenue, June Sanderson models the latest designs from Rome, Paris, and Carnaby Street. She and Cindie Webb share a penthouse suite overlooking Central Park. Cindie is currently appearing in a Broadway hit play. Marg Maxwell has become the most sought after hair stylist in the Western Hemisphere. She has won three Academy Awards for hairdos she has designed. Brad Hamlett is the finest lawyer in the business and it is expected that he will soon receive a seat in the Supreme Court of the U.S. Jan Pettit, who began as a CPA, is now president of a chain of accounting firms. She is also engaged to a wealthy Texas Oilwell owner. Eileen Marzer is private secretary to a millionaire businessman in South Africa. His business happens to be diamonds and she hopes to make it hers. We will be landing soon and it will be time once again to bid farewell to our friends from C.H.S. We hope that the next ten years prove to be as successful as these last years have been. 22
