CLASS MOTTO: ”WHAT WE ARE TO BE; WE ARE BECOMING CLASS FLOWER: ORCHID COLORS: BLUE SILVER In September of 1956, the class of 1960 had a total of fifteen members. Those being Rdee Armstrong, Gail Corrigan, Lloyd Crosby, Larry Dugas, Myrie Gollaher, Bill Kopetski, Danny Mann, Karen Nelson, Sandy Nicholls. Eric Ortloff, Sharon Payne, Margaret Romberg, Paulette Standley, Joe Von Stein, and John Warehime. Our class advisor was Miss Eleanor Schmidt. The class officers were Rdee--President; Myrie--Vice President; Margaret -- Secretary; Lloyd--Treasurer. Our Sophomore year the class had twenty-three members. New faces seen were Charles Batson, Pat Burns, Alan Dugas, Ben Flanagan, Karen Fowers, Clarence Jones, Norma Maxwell, Warren Nicholls, and Nola Russell. Eric Ort- loff was missing from the group. During the year Charles Batson, Gail Corrigan, Alan Dugas, Ben Flanagan, and Clarence Jones left. The Sophomore year was enjoyed by all and especially the good times at school functions. In the spring we put on the three-act comedy, Her Kissin' Cousin. We also were in charge of the annual Ketochi Day and picnic. Mr. Dorrance was our class advisor that year and the class officers were Karen F.--President; John --Vice President; Sandy--Secretary; and Lloyd--Treasurer. The Junior year saw the class busier than ever. There was the ordering of class rings, putting on the Junior Play-- Headin' for a Weddin', and the Junior Prom When You Wish Upon A Star. Those missing from the group of Jolly Juniors were Pat Burns, Norma Maxwell, Warren Nicholls, Sharon Payne, and Nola Russell. New faces seen were Ardith Barnes, Glenda Hamilton, and Fay Hetherton. Gail Corrigan joined the group again. Class officers were Myrie--President; Sandy--Vice President; Paulette--Secretary; and Joe--Treasurer. The class advisor for this year was Mr. Cornelius. Senior year at last. Here we were mighty seniors, boy did we rate. But to some of us it gave a funny kind of feeling. We found the Senior year to be even busier than the Junior year. No new members were added to the class but we lost Ardith Barnes and Margaret Romberg. Mr. Cornelius was still sticking with us and every morning in homeroom it was; Would you please be quiet for thirty seconds so I can take roll call. In our Senior year we had to worry about senior portraits, graduation announcements, caps and gowns, class night, sneak trip, annual, and last but not least graduating! The class officers were Bill--President; Danny--Vice President; Gail--Secretary; and Lloyd--Treasurer. The memorial events of 1959-60 were the Christmas Ball--”Sleighride, working on the annual, soliciting ads, class night, sneak trip, and baccalaureate and commencement. This brings us up to the present and shows that the class of '60 which began with fifteen members and ended with fifteen members has been successful in most of its endeavors. At this time in our annual we wish to thank everyone who helped to make our years at CHS the most enjoyable and happy years we've had. Thank you very much! THE CLASS OF '60 15
