Cascade, Montana May 24, 1985. The Class of 1960 is meeting for its class reunion at the ol' Cascade High gymnasium. Plans had been made from the time of graduation, but it seemed that we couldn't get together until the year 1985. Nevertheless it was decided to have the reunion now whether or not all could attend. The first to arrive at the gym was the ever-ready Dan Mann. Believe it or not, Dan owns a dude ranch in California. From what everyone has heard he is quite a cowboy now. Since the class of '60 always did everything in style, Karen Nelson didn't have to wait tables. Karen told us she is working in Nevada (Reno no less) as a cigarette girl and waitress. She said she’d seen quite a bit of Glenda Hamilton down there. Glenda never could stand one guy too long. Glenda was unable to attend the reunion, as she was getting a divorce for the eighth time. Joe Von Stein has finally filled out and is no longer so thin but is built like Atlas. Upon graduation from CHS Joe became the number one prospect for Mr. America and finally won the title in 1970. Joe entertained the group with some weight-lifting tricks. Rdee Armstrong also entertained us with her recent role in ’’Romeo and Juliet. Rdee finally became a good actress, but she'd had several years practice before entering the profession. Fay Hetherton and Gail Corrigan (Cloninger) came together on Fay’s latest invention Flying Carpets. Fay has done quite well for herself and so has Gail. Gail had left Jim home with their five little boys. John Warehime and Larry Dugas arrived together as they had just been shipped home from the South seas. They are both making the Navy their career. Karen Fowers was unable to be present for the reunion. She's still trying to be the first woman to reach the moon. Myrle Gollaher drove up in his new 1985 Oldsmobile and said he couldn't stay long because it seems his wife over in Simms was not in good health. We guessed she must have worried too much about him. Sandy Nichoils had just flown in from Washington, D.C. where she is the president's private secretary. Bill Kopetski accompanied her because believe it or not Bill is the 40th president of the United States. Paulette Standley arrived late because it seems that after 25 years of chasing the same guy she never did catch him, but knowing Paulette she'll be trying for another 25 years. Paulette is the first and second grade teacher at Cascade. Everyone could'nt help but think something was missing when who should they see stumbling up the steps but Mr. Cornelius. He still has his red hair with a few more gray hairs in it and his fine sense of humor. The always late Lloyd Crosby came last but as always he had a good excuse. His old car had quit on him before he made it up the hill to the gym. Everything was complete now and the afternoon was spent with talk about the good ol’ days. 14
