Bonfires, pep ral- lies, and the initiative of members of the team built school spirit to a fever pitch before games. A climax was reached with the bonfire crowning of the Football Court - Queen Marilyn Marks and Princesses Verleen Hutchins and June Geyer. Memo- rable during the season were the games with arch-rivals Reed and Concordia. To watch our boys play, spectators stood in the rain, spent hours cutting boxes of confetti, screamed until hoarse, and were wildly en- thusiastic about the rough and tumble sport of football.
