The X division (Executive Department) is com- posed of the Captain ' s Office, Personnel Office, and the Chaplain ' s Office (which includes the Crew ' s Lounge and Library). The Captain ' s Office, under the supervision of R. P. Murphy, YNC, takes care of all correspon- dence and officers ' records. The Personnel Office, under the supervision of C. L. Riddle, PNC, handles all enlisted records, training records, and legal work. The Personnel Office was also responsible for the issuance of the LITTLE CASCADER during the trip to the Med — a daily newspaper which kept the crew of the ship in touch with the news events of the world as well as back home in the states.
