CASA VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHCOL Casa View Elementary School opened in 1952. The first structure consisted of several portable buildings. During Casa View's first year Mr. K. K. Davis, principal of Reinhardt Elementary served as temporary principal. Our first PTA was organized in April, 1952 with Mrs. S.E. Prichard as President for the 1952-55 school year. The first meeting of the PTA Executive Board was held on September 16, 1955. Casa View's first permanent building was ready on September 9, 1955. with 826 students enrolled. In 1960, an additional wing fcurrently housing 2nd grade and Special Education! was added to the building. Mr. W.B. Hargrave began serving as principal in September 1955, a position he held until his death in December, 1966. After Mr. Hargraves death, James H. Hughey was appointed principal and remained for 25 years. Mrs. Pauline James began her principalship at Casa View in September, 1970. In 1978 Mr. Jack Sisco became principal, and was replaced by Sue McBrayer in 1979. Currently our principal is Mr. Hilton Davis. He has been with us since 1985, and has plans to retire this year. Those years have been a time filled with friend- ship and leadership. Mr. Davis has chosen to retire this year and we wanted him to know how very much he has meant to all of us here at Casa View School.
