You, Jack White, band director supreme, have won our hearts and our allegiance. From West Virginia, by way of Virginia, you have come to us and tripled our band member- ship, taught us more difficult music, and tricky marching maneuvers, spearheaded the success- ful drive for new Iowa style uniforms. Under your expert direction, we have had seven band students chosen for All-State Concert or Work- shop Band, and placed first in Class A band competition in the Southeastern U. S. Band Contest.
