Science seeks not to memorize but to discover, not to learn but to comprehend, and furthermore not to accept but to inquire. These are basic concepts drilled into the conscientious pupils of all grade levels now enrolled in our science classes. They possess the intellect to discover, comprehend and inquire and further make accurate conclu- sions thereby furthering and advancing the dome of man’s wisdom. MRS. J. D. HOLMES Chairman - Science Department It is of major importance that the mem- bers of our student body be well -acquainted with the language which is their means of daily communication; therefore, members of the English staff continuously emphasize the main divisions of our native language. In addition, students are given a knowledge of great literary works, as well as the styles and methods that they employ, and creativ- ity in writing on the part of the students is highly encouraged.
