Having passed triumphantly through the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Seas, we entered very proud ly the sea of Seniority. Mrs. Clark, Mr. Clark, and Mr. Creech, steered us through the final and long awaited destination. We were also guided by our officers which included Thomas Elliott, president; Joseph Moore, vice president; Clara Grady, secretary; Elizabeth Smith, treasurer; and Corine Musgrave and Hilda Raynor, reporters. Carrie Roberts and Elizabeth Smith, two of our sailors, were formally introduced to society at the Cinderella Ball. Also, our crew docked at Durham, North Carolina for a brief tour of North Carolina College. Having endured the many trials and hardships which faced us, we were finally rewarded for having made our four voyages at our Graduation Exercises. Class Historian Thomas Elliott CLASS FLOWER Rose CLASS COLORS Blue and Gold POEM SONG Dear Carver, we've found you good and true, And how we love your gold and blue. Tune: He' Dear Principal, and teachers, you're dearest to our hearts, And it is with deep sorrow that we shall depart. The many years, we've stayed here Have filled us with kindness, goodwill and cheer. We give thanks to teachers And our principal too. We know only with your help We've progressed through. So now we are bidding farewell to you For we have other work to do. We'll remember that success is not borrowed, For followers of today, are leaders of tomorrow.
