The Carver Junior Senior Hiqh School s child centered and is committed to the policy of giving necessary training to meet the needs and interests of the child physically mentally socially spiritually emotionally morally and tor continued growth in a changing society There is evidence that teachers and pupils are harmoniously cooperating in stimulating a wholesome curiosity about themselves and their environment The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of each pupil in each grade level It proposes to inspire self realization human relationship eco nomic efficiency and civic responsibility There is a close articulation of the curriculum from school unit to school unit and from grade t grade within the school The method used in attaining our goals and obiectives is determined co operatively by the teachers and pupils in proportion to their individual abilities We believe that The purpose of public school education is to provide every youth regard less ot ability environment or race the opportunity to develop physically mentally socially economically morally and spiritually to maximum capacity Only in this way can we create members of our democratic society capable and desirous ot making a positive contribution to our way of life We believe that A democratic society requires self-reliant individuals capable of making their own decisions and adjusting themselves to our changing world. OBJECTIVES To provide learning activities that stimulate pupils to think critically and reach sound conclusions. provide the informational and cultural training necessary for citizenship a democratic society. . develop sound health habits and wise use of leisure time. develop a keen sense of moral obligation and social responsibility. develop the behavior pattern demanded by a democratic society. 6.
