GENERAL OBJECTIVES Carver College ' s primary objective is to serve the individual and the community by provid¬ ing for young people and adults, an education for enriched personal living, for cultural devel¬ opment and for responsible citizenship. More specifically, the college aims to prepare the individual for admission to a senior college or a university. Additional objectives are to pre¬ pare for occupational competency and to offer students and adults continued opportunities in vocational, cultural and general education. 3

Jones, Secretary, Mr. William Cathey, Treasurer, Mrs. Annie Boulware, Mrs. William Cathey, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drye, Mrs. Mamie Dunn, Miss Corine Grier, Mrs. Ada Gunn, Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell andMrs. Cleo Yongue. Because of their interest approximately $2000,00 was raised to provide scholarships fo worthy students and through the efforts ofthis committee, many students were able to remain ,i ' V ' -.V ; in school and do a high quality of work.
