r.i— f,».. », . -.-.-, . OUR LEGACY, 55 Eagerly grasping! Purposefully climbing! Forever reaching! Spiritually growing! Our eyes are cast toward that glowing shore, As we embark, our course well set, We ve found our way which was dark before, And never can we forget. With a determined heart and an eager mind. Armed with a quest which moves us on. We must leave the darkness far behind. To approach a brighter, newer, dawn. Hopefully laboring! Gratefully learning! Never wavering! Hungrily yearning! Widening, gathering, seeking, lengthening, Together we sail toward that gem in the sun, Each purpose in mind assists in strenghtening. For the way lies ahead, and the prize is well won. Our thanks go out to the captains who brought us. Thus far in the journey of knowledge. With a pledge of respect to the teachers who taught us, And endeared us to Carver College. We are leaving the portals of this our dear school, But as we leave we must say, That to live true to ourselves. Our one perfect rule. Is to work and to learn each day. Q :
