ctllne - - - Scene l We Became Enlightened Bubbling with enthusiasm and with first-of-the-year best intentions, we stu- dents of C.l'l.S. stepped into the limelight September 3 to begin our first act in the school drama in our classrooms. Having chosen our subjects to meet the require- ments and our desires, we gradually ab- sorbed enlightenment from our study and our teachers. And as we neared the end of our four year course, those of us who had applied ourselves realized that we had been fortunate in receiving adequate foundation instruction for almost any fu- ture career - college, business, agriculture, industry, Hne arts, or homemalting. What's your father's occupation? Thus the endless stream of questions poured on as Miss Taylor filled out registration cards. After the files were completed the di- rectors studied our records and assigned us classes. No matter whether we were an amateur, freshman or sophomore, or an experienced actor, junior or senior, we were anxious for school to begin. Hurrying into the office, we pur- chased our books from the school secre- tary and hastily thumbed through the new pages. Busy, happy students, rushing thru the freshly painted halls was a good sight to us. And here we were, laugh- ing and smiling, while greeting old friends and making new ones. As the old library bell rang off its summer coat of dust, we quickly grabbed our books and hurried to our first class. It was good to be back!
