Laurie Helm the honor of This year's 1979 Raiderette was Laurie Helm. Laurie is a friendly, outgoing person, with many athletic and scholastic abilities. She was Class President her Freshman and Sophomore year. Her Junior year Laurie was Student Council First Vice-President followed by her Senior year as Student Body President. Athletically, Laurie played Volleyball on the HC Team her Freshman year, and played Varsity her last three years. She participated in Girls Varsity Basketball all four years at CUHS. Laurie also played a year of J.V. Tennis her Sophomore year. Laurie belonged to Block C her Sophomore through Senior year. She was a member of CSF her Sophomore and Junior year and served the organization as the Historian Reporter her Sophomore year. She was also a member of the Pep Club her Senior year. lVls. Helm was nominated Christmas Queen Candidate and Carnival Queen Candidate in her Sophomore year. As a Junior, Laurie was appointed Prom Chairman and she was responsible for the planning and organizing of the 1978 Prom. Laurie loves the outdoors and has taken up photography as a hobby. If you are ever looking for a warm heart and friendly smile look for Laurie Helm. 20 was awarded Raiderette.
