The junior Class was off to a good start this year, by sponsoring a junior Booth at the Caruthers District Fair. The juniors sold candy, pop, and popcorn at the games as another means of raising IUODCY. One of the largest projects the juniors attempted, was sponsoring the contest for Basketball Queen. The profits made from these activities were used for the annual junior-Senior Prom and to pay for yearbook pages. They were guided and directed through the year by Mr. Rowley, Miss Loveridge, and Mr. Ritchey, acting as advisors. B. Gattenby, Student Council Rep.g S. Harris, Secre- tary Prom Committeeg M. SCPHOMORVES fd E X .K LL,X. I Back row: Johnny jackson, Treasurer, Dorothy ADVISERS-Miss Thelma Weber, Mr. Hugh Flowers, Secretary. Edwards, Mr. George Mataisz. Front row: Leon Phillips, Vice-president, Kenneth Bean, President. After two years at Caruthers High the sophomores are still looking forward to next year when they will be one more step toward their goal. In their freshman year they were lost, looking admiringly at their upperclassmen. That is, they were looking forward to being sophomores at least so they could sweep down upon the next class of freshmen with a torturous initiation. Now, in their second year, as sophisticated sophomores, they got off to a fine start by putting on the annual freshman-sophomore dance. The dance was a big success, and also revealed the social ability of the sophomore class. They have also entered into all the sports and won several places. Naturally the sophomores are looking forward to becoming pretty juniors, and then high and mighty seniors. 4' f N ii f X 'W . l 5 ?,,,g,! e .J : w W...-K be freed r. ,gr V j'j1,,r'R 'ii 2 E I tti f i K. fi g igs: Qfifif i 0 ...eg S ,fag ,era S fa ee,rr H5 1 time RALLY and SOCIAL COMMITTEES and STU- Dena Cline DENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE-Front row: Yell Leader N.
