This drive which started near the close ol the 1942 school year and terminated late in the liall of the following school year netted well over 92 tons of scrap. From the money received from the sale and handling ol' this scrap, the Chapter purchased 515325.00 in VVar Bonds at the Caruthers Bond Sale held February 27. The balance of the money received is being used to finance the Victory Garden project and other chapter activities. lVlore war bonds will be purchased after the sale of the garden produce. ln the early spring, the Chapter obtained the privilege of using the lots across from the school for a Victory Garden.
