Mmm plgof, president Regular assemblies twice a month and regular monthly student body meetings were held We were entertained by programs given by our neighboring schools and by talks given by prominent speakers, Much time and ettort were given to a variety show which the student body pre- sented to the community on November l3, i936 The proceeds were put into the La Puerta fund, Both the La Puerta and the inter-school athletics claimed the enthusiasm and support ot most ot the students, Through the able work ot Pat Young and1Lcraine Bernard Caruthers always had a large and noisy rooting section at all the games, Much credit must be given to Martha Pisor, our president, and to the finance committee tor this year's success. The Annual Staff Last November the statt met at dinner in the editor's home and made preliminary plans tor the publishing ot the yearbook, and since then they have spent many long hours in caretul consideration and in hard work, intent upon making this the best annual issued so tar. To stimulate the sale ot annuals, a prize was ottered by the statt to the clas having the largest per cent ot student body members by November tirst. Untortun ately, none ot the classes reached the reguired minimum percentage to claim the award. A snapshot assembly was conducted before Christmas, which resulted in obtaining a nice selection ot good snapshots. Several members ot the statt attended the Fresno Bee Yearbook Festival and the San Joaguin Valley Journalism Day in Fresno, where they attempted to get suggestions tor their many tasks. Now, as the work is tinished and the annual goes to press, we wish to extend our sincerest thanks to the student body, the taculty, and the patrons whose interest and cooperation have spurred us on and encouraged us again and again. Especially do we wish to express our appreciation to Miss Anderson tor her help in correcting r write-ups.
