This year, a little different from the last and never to he duplicated, opens with the old spirit which is to live and grow during the next nine months. In the fall of the year: You find that being a Senior is wonderful, but in one way it is no different from being ax Junior or Sopho- more . . . because you still have to study. You have an extra load on your shoulders because now you and your classmates are the leaders and set the examples . . . you realize that your success in your studies, ath- letics, organizations, and your leadership must be at the peak because there will be no next year. Seniors now look forward to graduation, but you will always look back on your high school days as a special and magic time of life that can never be again. You the Juniors . . . spend six hours a day, five days a week, with books, teachers, and learning . . . you choose the size of your Senior Rings . . . you become excited as the Junior-Senior Banquet draws near . . . many of the class will try out for cheerleader . . . Student Council officers, and other heads of organiations, are some of the many elections that bring to a close a junior year. You are new in senior high school . . . but you are becoming accustomed to the life of senior high school. You elect class officers . . . favorites . . . many of you play on the football team and participate in other sports events . . . and look forward to the an- nual Sophomore party . . . you the Sophomore class - with all the many new activities available to you, you still manage to maintain a good scholastic average.
