LAST WfILL AND TESTAMENT We,the senior class of Carthage High School, in the county of Moore, the state of North Carolina,being of anuncertain state of mind, do hereby declare this our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To Mrs. Phillips, we wish to express our thanks for the interest and leader- ship she has shown us during the past years. To the rest of the faculty,we leave our deepest appreciation for their efforts toward increasing our wisdom. ARTICLEII To the buildings and buses we leave our deepest sympathy after the care we gave them for the past twelve years. ARTICLE III To the undergraduates: To the Junior Class we leave our privileges as Sen iors. fif we had anyj. To the Sophomores and Freshmen, we leave our hopes that before long they will occupy the position that we now occupy. ARTICLE IV Individual Bequests: During our years of school we have accumulated some well-known articles which we would like to bestow upon specific underclassmen. They are as follows: Frank Thomas leaves his handwriting to anyone who can read it. Dennis Shaver leaves his curly hair to Mr. Isaacs because Mr. Hill has an ample amount. Junior McKinney doesn't leave anything because he needs it all. Margie Barber leaves her long curly hair to Gail Kirby. James Lee Alexander leaves his ability to Indian wrestle to Robbie Felton. J. L. Boyte leaves his ability to play football without getting hurt to Pete Holder. Eugene Pressley leaves his ability to get to school on time to June Frye. Brantley Kelly leaves his ability to make Most Athletic in the Senior Class to Bobby Hugh McCaskill. Becky Flinchum leaves her ability to write letter.. in study hall to all the girls who have boy friends in the Armed Forces. Wilma Simpson and Shirley Poindexter leave school busses 5 and 10 to any- body who is crazy enough to want them. Helen Rose Pressley leaves her big feet to Miss Meade. Jimmy Burton leaves his ability to go steady to Wayne Flinchum. Marian Bryant leaves her ability to be loyal to her hubby-to-be to Myrtle Black. Sara Inman leaves her love for all school work to all future students. Susie McArthur leaves her love for bop jokes and cats to Carlotta Maples. Virginia Troxler leaves her friendliness to Glenda Penninger. Becky Wallace leaves her ability to get along with boys to Johnnie Kelly. Becky McDonald leaves her frankness and forwardness to Tommy Muse. Shirley Chriscoe leaves her red hair to Sue Denny so she can save money on dye. Pauline Morgan leaves her studious ability to Johnsie Flinchum. Margaret Grimm leaves her position as Glee Club pianist to Burgwyn Fields. Fred Brown leaves his way with the women to Johnnie Flinchum. Charles Flinchum leaves his luck to the future President of the Student Body. Barbara Brown leaves her deepest sympathy to the editor of the 1955 year- book. 51
