Larry Leonard .....Terry Sherer Miss Mary Maberry MEMBERS--Joe Dion, Ronnie Geissler, Jim Moore, Dave Larson, Keith Wear, Steve Brodie, Myron Mar- lett, John Lionberger, Bob Wildrick, Barbara Brooks, Barbara Garrelts, Jane Copelan. This organization, composed of representatives from each class and organization of our school, is the student component of administration. They work closely with faculty, principal and our parents group, the CCHS Associates. They plan and preside over school assemblies, organize and sponsor homecoming activities, carry out the Awards Night program, and willingly assist with school parties and other functions. Their many money-making activities enable them to finance gifts to the school and remembrances for hospitalized or bereaved school members. Delegates are sent each year to district and state conventions and workshops. Terry Wilson has been vice president this year of the Pekin District of Student Councils. and Some special events have included observance of Student Council Week and Teacher Appreciation Good Citizen Recognition. Terry Wilson - S.A.R. Award Mary Chapin - D.A.R. Award Class Valedictorian Kenneth Coffman - Boys’ State Judy Orum - Girls’ State Barbara Brooks - Class Salutatorian HONOR STUDENTS Each year, the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary choose students from the Junior Class to attend Boys’ and Girls’ State. The Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution recognize members of the Senior Class. These individuals are chosen on the basis of scholarship, citizenship, char- acter, leadership, and cooperation. Members of the National Honor Society are chosen by the faculty on the same basis from Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Classes. These members must have the vote of 75 per cent of the faculty. Special scholastic honors were awarded this year to Catharine Rice - certificate of Merit scholar; and Judy Orum - honorary State of Illinois scholarship.
