The Class of 1959 chose by popular vote it’s outstanding senior girl and boy. The choices were HELEN OSTERHOUSE and BILL GELHAAR. Many and varied have been their activities and responsibilities during their four high school years. Helene has held class offices including that of Senior Class President, participated in Student Council and every phase of music. Of special merit has been her work as twirler and as accompanist. Bill also has held many class and student council offices including Student Council Presi- dent this year. His work in instrumental and vocal music and as an accompanist has been outstanding. Bill is a charter member of the C.C.H.S. Honor Society. He earned the honor of salutatorian of the Class of 1959 and the Bausch-Lomb Chemistry Award.
