ln concluding the Parent's Day events. Student Activities Board hSABh presented Torn Ogden. a hypnotist, magi- cian, comedian. For a capacity crowd. he performed his feats of magic with a very humorous flair. He did ring tricks. made items disappear and reappear, created balloon animals. performed card tricks and money tricks and to top all that. he embarassed members of the audience by using them as 'hvolunteers. One of the more entertaining volunteers was Pastor Samuelson as Tom Ogden bombarded him with jokes and puns while burning a hole in his suit coat. Everything, including the weather. was perfect for a fun-f'llled Saturday. He's all tied up now. - HUtThroat L 34H- Alex Beblis counted lo l0wilh cards. - I FYI. .-

.W-r... : WMH' Qua H..- Everyone took a Magical Mystery Tour during the week of October 3 threugh 9 as Carthage celebrated its 1983 Homoeoming. This ycafs festivities ware marked with enthusiasm. fun. and involvement. This year Carthage decided to shorten the week to increase student involvement and to do so they started the week on Weds. with me tradit tional Olympics as the first event. Events included the chugu ging contest, the ring pass. the spoon pass, and building pyramids. The Olympics generated a Spirit of friendiy com- petition and togetherness among the students.
