,x 12 Parenfs Day Sepiember 24. 1983 9 am. Women's Tennis I0 am. Invitational 11 3111.4 pm. Sooner vs.Nu11h Ceniral 1:30 pm. Registration 8 pm. Football vs. Eimhursl Tom Ogden. Coffechuusr. Lots of family members arrived Saturday morning for a day filled of Carthagian activities. Sporting events were the most important of these activities. The audience for these activitim were proud parems of students who were participating. If students and parents werenH sports enthusiasts, touring the Racinchenosha area and shop- ping were on the list of possible things to do during the day. ln concluding the Parent's Day events. Student Activities Board hSABh presented Torn Ogden. a hypnotist, magi- cian, comedian. For a capacity crowd. he performed his feats of magic with a very humorous flair. He did ring tricks. made items disappear and reappear, created balloon animals. performed card tricks and money tricks and to top all that. he embarassed members of the audience by using them as 'hvolunteers. One of the more entertaining volunteers was Pastor Samuelson as Tom Ogden bombarded him with jokes and puns while burning a hole in his suit coat. Everything, including the weather. was perfect for a fun-f'llled Saturday. He's all tied up now. - HUtThroat L 34H- Alex Beblis counted lo l0wilh cards. - I FYI. .-
