hAs The Beanie Turnst The Great Peter Kngenw received standing fJVEIliUnH m hillh performances Iafthrj freshmen talent show ttAs The Beanie Tumsh' was the theme of the class of 19T8hs talent sh0w.Music, dance. singing, skits, and juggling combined to make the show, presented on September 17. 1974, was comparable to most freshmen talent productions of previous years. Scott Needham. Cindy Resh, Jon Kalkwarf, and Susi Hill worked together to co-ordinate and direct the show. The two performances in Wartburg Au- ditorium were well received. A special standout was Peter Kogen, juggler, who had the audience on their feet appiauding at the end of both of his acts. As in former years, the show proved an excellent way to introduce the freshmen class to the Carth- age community and the upperclassmen to the freshmen. The days begin to get shorter; ' the breezes get cooler; and the leaves begin to fall. So, as nature battens the hatches for winter, so the Carthage freshmen prepare for the onslaught of college work. Orientation begins. The new students learn the differw ence between LAS, RFAC, LH, BSU, SG, PEC, DYC, and CC. From there it is all dovmhill.
