EDITOR'S NOTE Probably one of the most difficult tasks in putting together the 1968 Carthadian was to find an appropriate theme. Not only must the entire yearbook be constructed around the theme, but it must be something that the whole student body can appreciate and apply to themselves, for the content of the yearbook is about them. We chose time as our theme for the 1968 Carthadian because we felt that it was some- thing in which we all share a common interest. Time is essential to all of us in our own ways, whether it means getting to class on time, or keeping to the music, or timing a play just right. We have tried to present time at Carthage Central as we see it. To supplement our theme, we have taken a passage from the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible, the third chapter, verses 2-8. Although everyone may not be familiar with this passage, it does contain a few lines that we found particularly applicable to us, the student body. lt would only be right to open our yearbook with some symbol of time, so we have depicted, on the cover, an Aztec sun calendar. The 1968 Carthadian, then, is a way of expressing what time has meant to each of us. We think that for every student at Carthage Central, there is a time for . . .
