Page 66 Such thanks As jqts a kings remembrance? William Shakespeare It is with the utmost regret that the students and faculty of Carteret High School surrender to retirement a most devoted and respected member, Miss Helen Wilson. Miss Wilson has served Carteret High first as a teacher of physical education and then as a guidance counselor. In addition to these duties, she has devoted free time to past Carteret High School plays and has coached the C.H.S. cheerleading squad. Altogether, Miss Wilson has devoted an astounding thirty-eight years toward the education of Carteret's youth. A graduate of Savage School of Physical Education Qnow a part of New York Universityj, Miss Wilson completed her post graduate work at Seton Hall University. Following retirement it is her plan to devote more time to personal interests too long neglected by the pressing duties of her former posts as teacher and counselor. Among these interests are the study of voice, art, the organ, gardening and Bible study. Miss Wilson, being a woman with great appreciation for people in general, has remarked that her most memorable and rewarding experience at has been her students, themselves. In remembering her students over the years, Miss Wilson happily described them as simply delightful . . .U Having been with C.H.S. for so many years, Miss Wilson has had a great opportunity for observing the many important changes in the structure of our youth. The youth of today, in her view, is opinionated but changeable, and is one of our most exciting future prospects. Many of her students will agree that it is Miss Wilson's fascination for the young that makes her one of the most receptive and enlightened members of Carteret High's faculty. There can be no doubt that Miss Wilson's departure from C.H.S. will be a loss not only to her students but also to all who worked with her in the past. A friend and instructor of so many years is not so easily given up to private life, It is the most sincere hope of the faculty and students of Carteret High that her future be filled with happiness and fulfillment, and that Miss Wilson holds the same warmth and appreciation for C.H.S. that it most certainly holds for her.
