CAMERA The SixteenfPerfSecond Club was formed in 1941 to film the school's principal pursuits. CLUB A camera was bought with a loan from the Visual Aids Fund founded hy thc faculty. FIRE SQUAD Under the efficient direction of Mr. William Misdom of the maintenance staff, the Fire Squad calls and conducts all fire drills. In its literature, its art, its sculpture, its magnificent architecture, its music, its religion, its dress and customs, in the French Revolution, and in Napoleon is found the very heart of France itself. It is to the appreciation of this heritage that Le Cercle Francais is dedicated. France is not deadg it has only been paralyzed. Its culture will never die. As Napoleon himself found out, There are only two powers in the world: the spirit and the sword. In the long run the sword will always be conquered by the spirit. 53
