National Honor Society The object of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to ren- der service, to promote worthy leadership, and ro encourage the development of character in pupils of Carter High School. n Vocal Music Department Carter High School Vocal Music Department has had a busy year. Their first work was preparing a Junior High group of thirty singers for an E,T,E,A, Chorus. The Winter Concert followed and served as a dedication ceremony for forty new academic choir robes. Procuring these robes was a big step forward for this department. These robes were purchased with money obtained from Christmas Cards and concerts. At Easter the Senior Choir did a Cantata, From Death Unto Life, by Stults. Carter music students entered three festivals in the spring. Spring Concert, Baccalaureate, and Commencement Music completed the year.
