ATIO AL HO OR SOCIETY One of the proiects of the Society is the inscribing of the name of the outstanding Freshman each year on a loving cup. Barbara Bennett, Nedra Holt, and Wanda McGhee examine the cup. 103 lil. O. T. Smith and Bob Rusk explain the National Honor Society Emblem to two new members Bill Morton, and Theodore Hayes. The purpose of the National Honor Society is to promote Scholarship, Leadership, Citizen- ship, and Service in the Secondary Schools ot America. The Carter Chapter was organized in 1954.
