THE EHS BAND was very active this year marching in the Poplar Bluff Dallas Days Parade and Band Festival, and the Ellsinore Labor Day Parade. They performed for their parents and the community at a Christmas Concert, Spring Con- cert, and a special concert to recognize the members who represented EHS in the district and state music contests. Mr. Don McClure, Band Director, has been a guiding force in many past and present band members' lives. Like some other specialty teachers, a band director spends many out- of-school hours working for his students and for the promotion of a school's image. 30 Under the challenging dir- ection of Mrs. Suzanne Sch- neider, the chorus, Girls Ensem- ble, and the newly created Music Men, had an exciting year. Singers, too, must be willing and able to give up some of their out-of-school hours to participate in singing, especially the two special groups who do all their practice after school. The choral groups regaled the community with several im- pressive concerts. Fellow teacher, Willis Leach, said he enjoyed the end-of-the year one at Grandin best. Girls Ensemble: Meredith Finertie, Robin Wallace, Roxanna Leach, Angie Duckett, September Ayers, Colleen Bartin, Nancy Crites. Music Men: Doug Roark, Tim Luther, Val Korenak, Mike Finley, Mike Ligons, Gary Stucker, Dean Puckett, Darrel Leach, Peter Norton, Roger Woods. 31 Top right: Robin, Sandy, Connie, Lisa, Delane, Val, Leslie, and Lee loading up.
