Class reunions are a time for reminiscing old escapades that were shared by all and the Firing up of friendships that had been forgotten. Especially using the old line “By the way, whatever happened to ole’.......” This certain reunion takes place the year 1988, just a decade since the Ellsinore Class of ’78 said goodbye to the rink-off period of their life and hello to the adulthood brought on by graduation. It’s surprising what can happen in ten short years................... Connie Eudaley (SKUNK) finally gave in to the yearning to venture to Texas where she attended college and majored in “COWBOYS”! Charlotte Grant is now designing the commercials for “CAMPBELL’S Soup”. Big Al’ Tucker went into business for himself, built a tavern and christened it Tucker Inn. He serves COOL WHIP with every beer. Carol Sears has truly become the liberated businesswoman, she is now in charge of distributing catalogs for Sears Roebuck. She gets alot of business from “privy owners”. Rhonda Tipton is now co-owner of a chain of service stations. She and her hubby call them “CROOKED Tipton’s Self Service”............They’re the only customers. Chris Black is now doing five to ten years in the state pen for impersonating a person! Debbie Price has Finally found her a love that would stay and now she is happily married to retired baseball player, George Brett, their 6 kids go to school at Ellsinore, while Debbie works at a Rent-A-Mouth Service. Marsha Kearbey has finally satisfied her dreams to have children. She has an even dozen and now has another goal in mind — TO GET MARRIED!!!!!!! Dwayne Harvey and Mike Swigert are life-long partners in a business that is really picking up. Seems they built a race track and now hold Southeast Missouri’s famed Ellsinore 500. Virginia Brown and husband are still happily married with the added company of three little BROWNIES! Tony Baggett now has his own jazz band that seems to be readily moving up in the world. They are called the Hooterville Fire Department Ragtime Band and they made their debut at none other that Winona. Randy Clyburn, Poor guy, Still hasn’t gotten his drivers license. (Looks like after all these years, they would just give them to him!) Bill and Danny Dean have retired from public life and formed their own commune in a desert where they sit and pray and sing Girl Scout Songs. No one was a bit surprised when beatnik, Dean Joplin turned up in his usual attire of long hair, sandles, and beads just to recite the Declaration of Independence to the tune of an old favorite back in ’78 — BLACK BETTY! Rick Gore is now enjoying the art of gardening but he still has his problems. Seems all he can grow is WEEDS!!!!! Mike Wells came in First in a Charles Atlas look-a-like contest. Patrick Powell has fulfilled his ambition and now has become Farrah Fawcett’s powder puff. Mike (DOG) Brooks has become a successful advertiser and can be seen in almost all Ken-L-Ration and Gaines Burger Commercials. Steve Ladyman really surprised everyone when we found out that he had became a well known FORD DEALER!!!!!! Janet Rennison is a Math Teacher at Grandin School. (Chock one up for Mom Rennison!) Nancy Mays has now landed a job with a very popular series “Charlie’s Angels.” Karen Brant has made quite a name for herself as a model. She has a lifetime contract with Field Stream. Katie Brame and Carol Duckett have a successful partnership in owning their own men’s hair styling shop. Carol messes their hair up and Katie fixes it!!!!!!!! Mike Coleman worked for many years cleaning our pig pens to earn the money to buy a new VW. Poor Boy, he’s still trying to teach his old one to act like HERBIE the love bug!!!!!! Larry Maples is happily henpecked by his lovely wife Sharon and has grown quite a love for keeping house while Sharon works. Sherry Swigert and Judy Townsend have their own trucking business and for recreation they play for the Washington Lakers. Alesia Thompson was our Miss Universe for 1985. Seems they put in a new category that she won hands down — FLIRTING!!!!!!! Since Robbie Barnett has become a famous football star, money has been no problem. The First thing he bought after signing his contract with the Dallas Cowboys was FARRAH FAWCETT. Phyliss Russell, Fontella Price, and Vickie Murray have hit the big time and have their own food catering service. They get most of their service with Ellsinore High School and have the motto, “You are what you eat”. Ken Presley entered the Winter Ski Olympics in 1979. He didn’t come in first, but he did get an electric shaver for a consolation prize. Tammy Boyer has an empire in New York City and writes her husband Terry, annually. Elaine Reynolds is in the automobile business with her hubby, R.D., he buys them and she wrecks ’em! Robert (CHUCK) Eudaley has found his HIGH in life, he has became a parachute jumper. He couldn’t make it to this years reunion. Seems as if upon one occasion, he forgot his parachute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People have finally uncovered the sordid nickname that Debbie Rudd acquired from Doniphan School, but can anyone make sense out of 38 or mountains?? James Huffman just recently opened a chain of playboy clubs. So far he has one in Ellsinore, Van Buren, Ellington, and Qulin. Kelly Vance journed to Africa on a dangerous safari but seems that all he brought back was mosquito bites. Pat Hampton now does mascara commercials for Cover Girl and shows her sweeping lashes off to the maximum utmost! Tim Stucker is now a professional painter for the Chevrolet Motor Company. He was at one time employed at the Ford Plant but they felt that more paint went on him than on the Cars. Poor ole Robert Brooks! He couldn’t make it to the reunion either, seems like he had been out on the town with a few of his old friends the night before, AND TONIGHT HE HAD AN UPSET STOMACH! Johnny Jameson, well-known car dealer, still keeps those cars moving, (just one step ahead of the COPS!) Verlin Willcut, after a decade in the U.S. Air Force finally got his BIG BREAK and has now been promoted to a “Private.” Charles Manson, alias David Summers, is doing 99 years to life in the State pen for impersonating Kareem Abduh Jabbar. Nancy Bridges and Janice Hamilton are holding the top offices for the American Cancer Society and other smoke-causing lung diseases. Mary Moss has become famous since she bought out the Ellsinore Coffee Shop and started a chain of them throughout the world. Joan Phelps took over ownership of the Poplar Bluff Salebarn. She has a friend taking care of it, since she became Miss Rodeo USA and has to attend alot of Rodeos throughout the United States. 27 Senior’s Who’s Who MOST POPULAR Marsha Kearbey and Chris Black MOST TALENTED Judy Townsend and Dean Joplin HAPPIEST BIGGEST FLIRTS Alesia Thompson and Mike Coleman MOST ATHLETIC Sherry Swigert and Alvin Tucker BOY’S BEST PALS Robbie Barnett, Chris Black, and Alvin Tucker, Randy Clyburn Judy Townsend and Larry Maples LOUDEST Debbie Price and Larry Maples QUIETEST Virginia Brown (Fulmer) and Montine Willis I I I I I 111 111 31 Juniors President Carrie Berry, Vice-President Sharon Ryan, Secretary Donna Sears, Treasurer Kim Davis, Reporter Pam Wilkison Junior Class Officers and Sponsors Mr. Boyer Mr. Pridy Mrs. Boyer MOST ATHLETIC Randy Carter Wanda Kelley BOYS BEST PALS Billy Lavendar Eddie Ballard David Bishop Artie Pospeshil Junior Class Who’s Who’s GIRLS BEST PALS Brenda Coleman Caroline Morehead Sharon Ryan TEACHERS HEADACHE Leslie Maples Sharon Ryan 33 JUNIORS HAPPIEST Kim Davis and Mike Zook Caroline Moorehead and Bill Lavender SWEETEST SMILE Tab Hickinbotham and Mike Zook BIGGEST FLIRTS Brenda Coleman and Keith Miller MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED Carrie Berry and Jim Link David Arndt Eddie Ballard Carrie Berry David Bishop Virginia Bounds Dennis Bowman Joy Boyer Tim Boyer Brenda Brant Charlotte Bridges Barbara Brown Randy Carter Rebecca Carter Annette Connell Kim Davis Chris Dinsmore Donny Elder Paul Enochs Laurie Fennell John Fulmore Ricky Giordano Brenda Hamilton Liz Hampton Lou Hefner Tabby Hickinbothom Floyd Huffman Tina Joplin Tina Julius Jack Kearby Sherry Kelley Wanda Kelley S Cynde Knodell jb Bill Lavender ML Jim Link h Leslie Maples Terry McGonigal Keith Meyer Keith Miller Tony Million Caroline Moorehead Randy Nancy Paul Papayik Lisa Phelps Jim Porterfield Artie Pospeshil Cindy Raymer Duncan Rennison Paul Roark Donna Sears Darlene Simpson James Smith Connie Swigart Pete Swigart Kathy Walker Bill Webb Steve White Pam Wilkison Mike Zook 35 JUNIOR BEAUTY AND BEAU 37 Sophomores From left to right: Pres. As the years roll by, many fond moments are passed away reminiscing high-school days, and a yearbook is one of the pleasantest reminders we have. We believe this to be E.H.S.’s best yearbook, and we feel that the advertisers are the reason why. 126 128 Again, THANK YOU!!! 4M- • ? • • : J‘rjff “n i. v n iim w _i fiiijnmr _
