Mr. Kingen, Superintendent Sophie Boyer. Secretary The School Board: Calvin LeGrand. President. Donald Black. Vice-President. William Lavender. Secretary. Orville Freeze. Carl R. Stucker. James Roark. Sophie Boyer. Treasurer. All six of our present Board members attended school at Ellsinore when they were children. Five members of the Board, were personally taught by our Superintendent, Mr. Kingen. All are now successful in their own chosen careers. These men, having a first-hand knowledge of the problems and peculiarities of our district and its needs, have brought capable leadership to our school system. These men. without exception, are highly regarded by the ranks of the working folk of Carter County, men who are also successes at every ideal which they carry from their richly diversified backgrounds for the benefit of the school district. There is a quality which each of these men possess which make them in- valuable, and that is the quality of unlimited giving. Giving of themselves. A school is more than buildings, it is the thoughts behind the buildings. Only when those thoughts are of the highest, only when the men who are in control are of the highest caliber, and have the students’ best interest at heart, can a school be successful.
