Jtt JJere! Education is an admirable thing. But nothing that is worth knowing Can be taught. -Oscar Wilde

Page 12 text:

Keith Andrews Vickie Andrews Nancy Compton 8 Sandra Crowley Don Depriest Tears, smiles, and laughter combine to make a day in the life of a teacher in EHS frustrating, yet fascinating. To be a successful teacher, one must retain a sense of humor at all times. In the classroom, during noon hour, and while traversing the corridors, a teacher encounters obstacles that could hinder his usefulness as an educator. However, a smile or a joke at the right moment can turn a complicated situation into a pleasant, memorable moment for teachers and students alike. Teacher-Student Appreciation Day was an outstanding example of this precept. Mr. Carl Munsen poses in front of the teachers’ lounge, with an appropriate seasonal sign in the background. On the opposite page, four faculty members are pictured doing—well, maybe not doing what they do best—but they do make interesting shots! Mrs. Pridy is shown in action—counseling. Ms. Compton, who shared the privilege and hard work of spon- soring the Junior Class, along with Mrs. Theis, is busy supervising the concession stand. Oh. no! What’s the world coming to? Mrs. Wallace “sprouted” overnight in time to join the ghosts and ghouls on Halloween. Was it a hard day’s work? No. Mr. Ragsdale is merely resting between halves in the teacher-student basketball game.
