Mr. Collins was born January 31, 1934, at Krebs, Oklahoma, and is presently teaching math and science classes at Ellsinore High School, where he has taught for the past seven years. He attended college at Oklahoma University and received a B.S. Degree in Chemistry and an M.S. Degree. He furthered his education at Drake University where he was well-rewarded with a B.S. Degree in Education. Mr. Collins also attended Kansas University. All who know Mr. Collins, or those who have attended one of his sci- ence classes, are endlessly amazed at his remarkable talent for im- pressing and imposing the mysteries of science onto the sometimes unwilling, rebellious minds of his students. The annual staff pays special tribute to a man respected by all students, fellow faculty members, and citizens of the community. i 1 m Our Superintendent L. W. The Board of Directors look over the profit and loss sheet and estimates the standing of the firm. Is it a profitable enterprise? Yes, education is a profitable enterprise, education makes people easy to lead, but dif- ficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave. Students, without them a school is worse than nothing. With them, a school pulses with life and learning, due to the aid of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of people devoted to expending their time and energy to the betterment of our school system and community. With the long awaited passage of the school bond and tax issues, the members of the school board started plans for the improvements needed in the school district. The following improvements were made throughout the year: new restrooms at Ellsinore and Grandin, four new classrooms at Ellsinore and Grandin, and a new sewer system at Ellsinore. Thank you for the time and concern that you have given to the students at E.H.S., it is greatly appreciated. 7 S«!2! MR. EDWIN WALLACE Mr. Wallace, has been our devoted principal for almost 3 years. The E.H.S. Annual Staff would like to pay a special tribute to the six senior lettermen. During their high school years they have done a lot to help our team. They have shown good leadership, good sportsmanship, and have used good techniques in playing. Most of the boys have played since Junior High and as the years have passed, they have acquired better techniques in guarding, passing, shooting, and scoring. We are sure they will be greatly missed in the following years to come. 56 Back Row Left to Right: Mary Bradley, Karen Stahl, Debbie DePriest, Middle: Judy Crowley.
