Homeward Bound r 3 We, the Hi-Lites staff, dedicate this Yearbook of '66-'67 to Mr. Wendell H. Rowlett. Mr. Rowlett started his teaching career here at E. H. From all of us, Mr. Rowlett, Hi-Lites staff and fellow seniors, we should like to express to you our appreciation for all you have done for us through the past four years here at E. H. S. Especially for the kind, patient help you gave us as Juniors in the concession stand. Thank you, Mr. Rowlett, for being the teacher and understanding person you are. W. KINGEN L. W. Kingen has been in the field of education for 33 years, 32 of which have been at Ellsinore. Everyone knows him as being very devoted to the school, and this fact added to his long record of ex- perience makes him very well qualified for his present job as Superintendent of the R-II Schools. We are proud to say that E.H.S. is in that district, and we wish to thank Mr. Kingen for all he has done for us. M. D. PRIVETT Congratulation Seniors! Soon you will complete that part of your education that we have come to call high school. These last four years have held some of the most glorious mo- ments of your life. In years to come you will look back with fond memories of your days as a student at E. H. S. Graduation, as has often been said, should not be thought of as the end of your education but the beginning. You have now reached that point which separates the teen-ager from the young adult. Upon reaching this point you must now be- gin to accept responsibilities of citizenship. Accept your responsibilities willingly, whether it be serving as an elected governmental official or as a member of the armed forces. Be proud of your heritage, as a graduate of E. H. S., as a Missourian, and as a citizen of the greatest nation upon the earth. Plan your future wisely, put your faith in God, trust your fellow man, and remember the immortal words of John F. Kennedy, Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country. 32 Mr. Copeland, the principal at Grandin Junior High, has been with us for several years.
